October concerns: Please be aware that during the entire month of October, we expect a large increase in the tourist traffic in the city of Salem, due to the annual “Haunted Happenings” associated with Halloween. The Parking policies change and permit us to park in the streets near the church only until 12:00 noon on Sundays. Please make use of the bright pink signs that we have made available to you, indicating that you are “temporarily parked while attending Services at St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.” Should you receive a parking ticket or notice of violation, please hand the ticket to Father Jim. In past years, we have generally managed to attend Divine Liturgy at this time of years with minor inconvenience. Please see the announcements below. Thank you for your patience.
Жовтень у Сейлемі: Будь ласка майте на увазі, що в жовтні в Сейлемі багато туристів. Інодіпаркуватися біля церкві особливо важко. Зверніть також увагу, що паркуватися на вулицях біля церкві в неділю дозволяється лише до 12 години дня. Stamford Bishop’s Appeal: A letter regarding the Annual “Stamford Bishop’s Appeal” will be distributed at church or sent to you by mail very soon. As always, your kind attention to this appeal is appreciated. Our support of the Offices and Staff of the Diocesan Center in Stamford, Connecticut is a necessary part of our financial church support. Donations in any amount which you feel able to contribute to this appeal will be appreciated and accepted through the third week of December. Please utilize the form which is included in the envelope you will receive. Checks should be made out to “Byzantine Rite Diocese of Stamford,” and may be placed in the weekly collection at church. We will then send them on to the Chancery Office in Stamford. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
